Ok it's been awhile.

I can't remember everything, but let's see.  Last weekend I went and visited Grant and his family.  His wife was very nice and welcoming and spoke better English than I do.  And Lina is the cutest thing.  She showed me how she slides.  Fun kid!

His school is spectacular.  I'm amazed, it's gorgeous. I saw a photo of 'The After' this Christian band Gavin worked with and I had to take a photo. Who would have thought you'd find them in S. Korea.  So after Grant and I had sam gibsol.....sue me I don't know how it's spelt or really how it's said, but dammit it's good.  It's just pork bbq infront of you. Small pieces that you put in a lettuce leaf with either kimchi or onions or garlic or a spicy sauce or all of them.  Then put it in you face in one shot.  I've had it twice here, but this was the first time I had it in someone's refurbished garage!  I swear! I think I have a photo....

And even if that glass says Hite it's MAXX beer  You HAVE to drink beer or it gets all crazy in your mouth.  North of the glass is a spicy tofu soup (really good if you use the rice to cut the heat). On the left is kimchi and below it was some sort of salady thing which was not spicy...I think.  And on the grill you see some pork, garlic and onions.
Here is Grant enjoying his meal.

After that Grant and I bar hopped.  In this section of Seoul there is a bar every 2 feet and as Grant said there are also 3 or 4 above each bar too.  The second bar was my favourite, reminded me of my friends back home.

Yea I did! It was also my first solo subway trip which was 100% successful.  Minus me being late.  Took longer than I thought, but nothing bad occurred.  After Ho Bar we picked this strange random bar, which looked like it was put together with an old chicken coup (I didn't take a photo sadly) but man I walked in to them playing Amy Winehouse! How could I not love it!? They fed us peanuts and salted minnows.

Ok so after that I took my ride back home only to be asked to go do karaoke. OF COURSE! Another Saturday night then. hah.  I don't remember much of the week currently, because I'm feeling rather sick.  Tuesday on the way home from school I could feel an ear ache coming on.  Yesterday I was bad ass sick and my coordinator took me to the pharmacy to get some pills. Today my ear ache is worse and if it's like this tomorrow I think I"ll have to go to the hospital...wank.

But today Mel and I had to give a speech to the new kindy moms about what they'll be learning at our school.  It was weird, because they don't know English and we don't know Korean. So basically Mel and I could have said anything we wanted to, but our supervisor was there and she knows the English. But they spoke Korean so fast!  It was strange.  I just nodded in agreement the whole time. Smiles. Smiles everyone.

I'm just waiting for Lost to load.  Good luck on your knee dad!
