Thursdays

A new favourite of mine as we get off at 5.20! SCORE!!!

Today was good.  I only taught two classes, but the kids were great.  I did my first spelling test and dialogue.  Which apparently means the kids have to learn a dialogue and recite it to me infront of the whole class.  Love it.

I can get most of their names right now.....well I have about 3 classes down.  With 2 to go. But whatever don't judge me, it's A LOT of kids to remember.

Today get this.  Water was frozen so NO TOILETS. Yet we still had classes.  YEA. What? umm hmm I held it for 5 effin hours dude.  Not fun.

Ok, on the way home, Mel and I stopped to get fruit.  Which was easier than I thought because the man running the stand spoke excellent English.  Cool guy.  We will buy food from their often.

Then maybe I was saying how Japanese people are awesome.  Maybe some Koreans were pointing at Mel and I.  Whatever Japanese people have wicked style... I'll leave it at that.  So as I'm saying how cool they are (FYI.  Korean HATE the Japanese as they took over their country a few times and burnt all their shit to the ground) but yea so this girl in PERFECT English not even a slight hint of a Korean accent asks us to stop for a few seconds.  We assume she wants to practice English.

HAHAHAHAH no

MORMON.  I swear!  But she was nice hah let us go without a pamphlet too.

So now I wait to see if I am going out for dinner or eating the fruit I got and a PB sandwich.  My lunch was a breaded porkchop (2 huge ones, corn, some odd salad and a soup 4.50.  BAM no tip or tax.  Loves it.

Speaking on food.  One of the girls here told us a story.  It was her first few weeks I think here. And she and another girl went out to eat.  Here basically if you point to a photo they'll make it for you.  So they pointed to something and waited.  They got it and started to eat.  But it tasted really grissely.  So she just ate the veggies.  They left and went to school the next day or whatever and one of the guys at the school said, "Don't go to this restaurant they serve ONLY dog meat." Turns out THAT WAS WHERE SHE ATE.  YES in this town there is a place that serves dog meat.  I am worried hah because no one has told me where it is yet........

Hence Dunkin Donuts, Coca Cola, Baskin Robbins and Skippy are my dearest friends.  Look out 300 pounds I'm coming for you!
